Volunteering makes SSA special.
The SSA community is built on volunteering. When not getting ready to race, racing, celebrating/commiserating about racing, or teaching others how to race, SSA members are most often found pitching in - helping to run races, working on the docks and facilities, helping out around the club, working on a committee. If you’re not a member and would like to help out, join us! Click the button on the top right. If you’re already an SSA member, below you will find a list of upcoming volunteer opportunities (race committee, facilities work parties, committee meetings) and information about other volunteer needs.
Voting & Associate members owe 3 days, Supporting members owe 2 days, and Junior Associate and Student over 21 members owe 1. Click on “My Account” button on top right of club site to check the volunteer hours you’ve received credit for; they’re listed on the bottom of your account page (8 hours equals 1 day). If you still owe volunteer days, click on one of the Event Names listed below, and if asked, enter your first & last name and email address to log in, then Sign Up!
Click on “Event Name” to sign up. “Count” shows how many slots filled/how many available. Event Leaders are the PRO and DRO.
