Boat Storage Timeline for 2023/2024

In preparation of the First Street Basin Project, we have set up the following timeline regarding boat storage on the lot at SSA. We will continue to send communications as we hit these milestones and ask that you are timely in your response to make this easier for all members. Through this whole process we want to make sure that those people who want to sail can! 

NOW: If you plan to frostbite sail in Annapolis this winter and keep your boat on the SSA lot, please fill out THIS FORM.

NOW: If you plan to remove your boat for the winter, please email the office and include the dates that your boat will be removed and when it intends to return.

Mid-November through April 1/Opening Day: If you would like to have access to your boat at any point between the start of the basin project in mid-November and Opening Day, then we recommend removing the boat before the AGM on November 12th. Outside of local frostbite sailing, we won’t be able to guarantee access to those boats left on the lot during the first street basin project.

Nov 1: We are asking as many boats as possible to vacate the lot during the First Street Basin remodel. We will be clearing the entire area between Pier 1 and Pier 2. This includes vacating spaces J-200- J-215, wetslips, and floating docks. The Opti dock racks and shed will be moving as well. Any space that can be made will be a huge help. We are asking you to take your boat home after your last sail of the 2023 season. Please email the office to let us know what date your boat will be leaving the property.

Nov 1: 2024 Boat Storage Applications open up. More details will be provided in the coming months.

Dec 1: 2024 Boat Storage Applications are Due

By Jan 1: Boat storage assignments are made based on received applications.

Feb 1: Full payment for boat storage due, in arrears March 1 (if space is limited, those who do not pay by February 1 may lose their assigned space). After March 1, a 5% late fee is added to storage payment due each month until paid.

Waitlist: If you are currently on a waitlist for boat storage at SSA, we will continue to update you on any storage openings for the remainder of 2023. However, we will begin accepting application for 2024 storage on Nov 1 and assigning spaces through the end of the year and except to have spaces available for waitlist members for the beginning of next season.
