Club Guidelines During Covid-19
SSA Outdoors COVID-19 Rules

OUTDOORS-Have a plan to stay outdoors during your visit to the club.1) Members assume responsibility and liability for their own health, will take all necessary precautions, and visit SSA at their own risk.

2) Wear a face covering at all times while on the premises. The BOG decided to take this step because we have seen too many members on site not adhering to the State’s social distancing policy. Wearing a face covering or buff is a minor inconvenience. Please think of it as our duty to protect those in our community who are at greater risk than we are.

3) In addition, please follow the six foot social distancing policy at all times. Pay particular attention to this while on docks. Even better, try to stay ten feet away.4) Bring cleaning supplies with you to wipe off/sanitize high traffic surfaces—door handles, hoist controls, etc.—before and after you use them—and to keep your hands clean.

5) To help you with determining which areas need to be sanitized, SSA has placed special red handprints on “high touch” areas around the club. Let us know if we need to add more.

6) Take advantage of the recently-installed outdoor handwashing stations.7) Parents must ensure that their children follow this guidance.

8) Members must ensure that any guests follow this guidance.9) When parking, please do not block in other member’s cars. For the time being, we need to cease the practice of moving each other’s cars. Consider parking on the street as there will probably be space available.10) The workshop will not be available except for official SSA business, so please bring your tools with you (as 99% of you do already).11) Please make sure that no groups of 10 or more people are congregating and that any group is not in close proximity to another group (even with social distancing and face coverings/masks).12) If you decide to go sailing, please adhere to MD DNR guidance. Note that you are not limited to sailing with housemates, but if you do go sailing with people who are not housemates, you should adhere to social distancing guidance.

SSA Indoors COVID-19 Rules

INDOORS-The restrooms will be accessible during daytime hours.1) If you need to use the facilities on the first floor (only the first floor bathrooms/changing rooms will be accessible), please continue to wear a face covering at all times, adhere to social distancing guidance, clean surfaces before and after you touch them, and spend as little time in the bathrooms/changing rooms as you can. Use those handy foot pulls on your way out. Look for special handprints on “high touch” areas inside, as well, and let us know if we need to add more handprints.

2) As with the outdoor guidance above, members must ensure that their children follow this guidance as well as any guest.3) Enter through the main entrance and exit by the 1st floor Spa Creek doors or 2nd floor Spa Creek doors.

4) We will have the bathrooms professionally cleaned every day...in the early mornings...but an infected person (symptomatic or asymptomatic) could enter at any time after that so you must take responsibility for your own health and safety.

5) We will limit bathroom/changing area occupancy to three (total) per men’s and women’s areas.6) We will limit the number of stalls/urinals that can be used- -for social distancing purposes.

7) The showers will not be available until further notice—as we need to minimize the amount of time members spend in changing areas.8) The water bottle filler is available but please do not use the water fountain function.

9) The building will be locked overnight (no access to bathrooms).

Dining

1) Please keep the tables and chairs in their place to maintain social distance.

2) Limit seatings to groups of four, instead of the six permitted in the order Governor’s order. It's more appropriate for the size of the tables on the deck.

3) You will be able, of course, to remove your face covering while seated and enjoying a beverage and food.4) Please use the self-service cleaning supplies provided for you to wipe off surfaces before and after you eat. Ask Botanas Fajardo or staff if you need more cleaning materials.

5) Take advantage of the hand washing stations to wash your hands.
